King Tut's Pyramid Gravimeter - CH Ting Ting
talked about this project which was published in the January issue of "Nuts
& Volts" magazine and will challenge us to do a better job of it in Forth.
Ting wrote: "The gravimeter is very simple, using a piece of conductive foam
with a mass to measure its resistance, and hence the gravity. Its precision is
about 0.1% and shows clearly the changes in gravity during a day. It uses a
PIC16F916, programmed in assembly language. I am sure we can do a better job
with Forth on an Arduino, but I will leave that to the students."

Historical Ampex Recorder - Larry Miller Larry
restored the Ampex 200a audio recorder (Serial Number 3) now on exhibit at
Green Library at Stanford. He described the restoration process and told us
about the historical significance of the 200a. After lunch, we walked to Green
Library to see the audio recorder and as a bonus, the VRX1000 video
recorder.
